We both live in the Ruhr basin in Germany and built our dream house with a view to the sea, together with
our children, a few years ago. My husband grew up in Chile in Valparaíso at the seaside. Unfortunately, we have been able to visit this wonderful country only three times in the past 38 years.
I work as a teacher and have only a two-week holiday when it is summer in Chile, such that we were able to travel there for a longer period only in winter. 15 years ago, we vacationed in Nerja and fell in love with the bay of La Herradura. By sheer coincidence,
we found a plot one year later and for the past ten years, we are now able to spend our time enjoying the sea, the mountains and sharing time with the nice Spanish-speaking people of Andalusia.
We feel very much at home in the small illage and enjoy the exquisite fruits and vegetable and the fresh fish. Every morning, we go to the village to buy fresh bread rolls.
After a Cafe con leche at the beach, we go up the mountain again. We take our time on breakfast enjoying the magnificent view of the sea.
In Andalusia, there are several forms of leisure activities and exquisite day-trip destinations.
